Senior Wisdom Tech Hub – The digital technologies – support for active ageing!

The general objective of the project is to empower seniors from small towns and rural areas with essential digital skills to improve their daily lives, enhance social participation, and contribute to the digital society, ultimately enabling them to become confident and independent users of technology.

Objectives

• To equip 24 mentors with the necessary technical knowledge and skills to effectively mentor 48 seniors on using commonly used digital tools and applications relevant to their daily lives.
• To enhance the capacity and sustainability of the six partner organizations involved in the project, enabling them to effectively deliver high-quality mentor-supported digital skills training to seniors.
• To create a collaborative cross-border European network of six partner organizations, facilitating the sharing of expertise, best practices, and innovative mentoring approaches to amplify the impact of senior digital skills training in European rural communities..

Implementation

• 24 partner representatives will be identified, selected, and trained as mentors, equipping them with enhanced technical knowledge and mentoring competencies to guide seniors in digitalization.
• 48 seniors from small towns and rural areas will gain improved digital skills, boosting their confidence in using smartphones for daily tasks, communication, and essential services.
• Three key intellectual outputs will be developed and validated: a Course Support, a user-friendly E-Guide, and an interactive E-learning Platform, which will be effective and applicable for senior digital skills training.
• A scalable and sustainable mentorship program will be established, ensuring long-term digital inclusion for seniors, informed by valuable feedback from pilot activities.
