I CARE, Erasmus+ Key Action 2, Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Strategic Partnerships

Leading Organisation : ETHNIKO KAI KAPODISTRIAKO PANEPISTIMIO ATHINON (Greece)

Partner Organisations : HELLENIC OPEN UNIVERSITY (Greece), ERGASIA EKPEDEFTIKI (Greece), CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE (France), ASSOCIATION POUR LA PROMOTION SOCIALE (France), OPEN UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS (Cyprus), PANCYPRIAN FEDERATION OF PATIENTS ASSOCIATIONS AND FRIENDS (Cyprus), Azienda Speciale Retesalute (Italy)

Main theme :

a. Free Access to and Open Educational Resources in different languages (English, French, Italian and Greek). The MOOC will be both a solution and a challenge to learners and education institutions. This MOOC aims to place a stronger focus on higher education and more relevant skills both for formal and informal caregivers.

b. Knowledge, skills and core competences for caregivers. Increased specialization for caregivers (on mental health diseases, on palliative care, on chronic diseases etc) and internationalization demand a common area of skills and qualifications. Thus, informal caregivers will be able to develop basic technical skills (for the most widespread diseases i.e. Alzheimer and cancer) and both informal and formal caregivers will develop transversal soft and ICT skills.

c. Supporting integration Services (i.e. self assessment tools like mini games, a coaching session) for informal caregivers with lower levels of qualifications which would substantially boost employment rate in this sector by equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills and core competences. Thus, students and informal professionals of different disadvantaged backgrounds (such as migrants, young people having to care their relatives, unemployed women) will be reached.
